{"product_id":"0024543222798","title":"Time Tunnel, Vol. 1 [4 Discs]","description":"\"The Time Tunnel was Irwin Allen's least successful science fiction series of the 1960s, lasting but one season. The first 15 episodes have been gathered together on this four-DVD set from Fox, which marks the best presentation the series has ever had. Not only are the shows remastered from exceptionally clean and bright materials, but they're uncut, and the makers have included as a bonus the never-before-shown unedited pilot episode, which has some significant differences (including a completely different ending) from the aired version. We see a bit more of the Time Tunnel complex (which was hardly seen at all after the first episode) and get fuller glimpses of important characters; and the unaired pilot explores paradoxes and possibilities involving time travel that the series pointedly tried to avoid, to its detriment. The episodes themselves are treated well, with generous chaptering but no special features of any kind. The concept behind the series dictated that a lot of footage from the 20th Century Fox vaults would be used, and the transfer does a good job of matching the old and new material. It might have been nice, however, if the producers had included commentary on at least one episode, so that viewers could get a breakdown of what production was like on the program. But as a basic, almost no frills treatment of an interesting failed series, this set is enjoyable.\"","brand":"FOX HOME ENTERTAINMENT","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":47092876738800,"sku":"0024543222798","price":29.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0737\/7593\/9824\/files\/0024543222798_p0.jpg?v=1763777296","url":"https:\/\/shop-qa.barnesandnoble.com\/products\/0024543222798","provider":"Barnes \u0026 Noble (DEV)","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
