{"product_id":"0089218439895","title":"The Green Glove","description":"\"Rudolph Mat?'s The Green Glove (1952) was an attempt to capture some of the mystique of The Maltese Falcon in a somewhat awkward flashback-based story, set (and shot) in France. It never worked, but it deserved points for trying something different, and it is interesting. The full-frame (1.33:1) transfer here is decent enough, derived from a 16 mm print that has some fading and is occasionally too dark, and also has some white speckles, but shows no overt or debilitating damage. The sound quality is very good, mastered at a high volume and reasonably clean. The story is so complicated that the six chapters don't begin to delineate its twists and turns, but at a budget price, that programming deficiency is nothing too serious to worry about. There are no bonus materials, and the disc opens automatically to a simple single-layer menu preset to the \"\"play\"\" option.\"","brand":"GOTHAM DIST.
