Where these \"\"Under Review\"\" discs tend to be more revealing for lesser known artists, Van Morrison has such a strange public persona - casual fans who know the radio hits combined with those more obsessive about his work on a more cerebral level - that an index like this becomes very handy for both. Divided into nine chapters plus a bonus track, there's plenty of colorful sizzle added to the commentary - album covers, video clips, and lots of still photographs lovingly inserted into the dialogue. A handy list of the seven commentators with mini biographies on each of them gives the viewer perspective on Steve Turner, who wrote \"\"Van Morrison: Too Late To Stop Now\"\", Johnny Rogan author of the critically acclaimed \"\"Van Morrison: No Surrender\"\" as well as \"\"Van Morrison: A Portrait Of The Artist\"\", and five other participants including Nigel Williamson who seems to be the most common face on a variety of these projects. The DVD is effective from start to finish with the chapters making for easy re-review on the parts of Morrison's career that the viewer may find more intriguing. What is missing is some of the \"\"inside stories\"\", like when the late Jimmy Miller was going to produce Morrison. Miller stated he showed up at the airport and helped a fellow who he thought was the roadie carry the luggage.
