White and James Stephens, M.A., whose views were in accord with those found in its pages. While not committing themselves to all its details, Dr. Handley, O.C. Moule and Dr. Dinsdale T. Young also commended it with great cordiality. I recall the kindness of these servants of God, all now passed to their rest, with humble thankfulness. It is thirty-four years since it was first committed to print, but I have seen no reason to depart from the beliefs which it expresses, and in which I was nurtured; I have therefore gladly acceded to its being reprinted. I must not, however, commit any branches of Christian work with which I am associated to these my purely personal convictions.
