He earned BA and MS degrees from Indiana University. He retired from a career in Indiana schools as a teacher\/administrator. He served in the U. S. Coast Guard during World War II and retired as a Major in the U.S. Army, with service during Korean and Vietnam wars. He has written educational newsletters, brochures, and booklets and Christian Tracts; plus writing and teaching Bible Study and Adult Sunday School classes. He has been a radio news reporter and producer\/moderator of a cable TV Talk Show. He has published three books of poetry, and at age 85, he completed his first novel, a Civil War story, Love Finds a Way.
