{"product_id":"2940012990815","title":"PERCEPTIONS OF PRODUCTION WORKERS OF AUTOMATION AT FOOD PROCESSING PLANT","description":"The purpose of this project was to review the perceptions of production workers on automation at Farmland Foods.  The descriptive survey method of research was used and thirty-three of the possible two-hundred questionnaires were returned.  Much of the data collected revealed that production workers share many common opinions and attitudes about plant automation.  Results of the statistical analysis revealed that Farmland Foods was successful in installing automation, but not in training on the new automation.  It further established that many things such as years of experience and production workers’ ages played no significant role in the view of plant automation.  It showed that production workers view that automation will lower product cost but will not lower production cost. The general opinion on quality increasing was low.  The operators’ skill level was viewed as not increasing because the equipment was viewed easier to operate.  With plant automation, production workers viewed that fewer workers were needed and they ha mixed views on customer satisfaction, but all agreed that automation is a good idea for Farmland Foods. A particularly positive result was found in suggestions offered by production workers to help install new automation.  Suggestions appear to be realistic and easily formulated into practical plans of installing new automation.","brand":"The Gifted Learning Project","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":47145493692656,"sku":"2940012990815","price":2.99,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0737\/7593\/9824\/files\/2940012990815_p0.jpg?v=1763575263","url":"https:\/\/shop-qa.barnesandnoble.com\/products\/2940012990815","provider":"Barnes \u0026 Noble (DEV)","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
