Many unbelievers think that man wrote the Bible and continued to alter it throughout the ages, and they reject the validity of the Bible on this premise. The new translations give some credence to this position.
They omit the blood of Jesus and its importance to the believer in numerous verses, for example Col. 1:14:
KJV: "In whom we have redemption through His Blood, Even the forgiveness of sins."
NASB: "In whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins."
The New American Standard Bible, NASB, leaves out the most important phrase of this verse, "through His Blood."This is a very serious omission.
There are more than 5000 word changes from the King James Version to the New Bible versions. Usually these changes do not alter the meaning of the Scripture, but often the changes dilute the meaning of the passage. This presentation describes many of these changes and their impact on non-believers.
