When the teacher finally turns herself in, she is vilified by many in the press and surrounding communities but even as the D.A. pushes for a long prison term the reader captures a glimpse of the harsh realities and 'legal' dealings in life and how the legal system's scales have been so woefully tilted to one side for so long that there may be no hope for anyone who doesn't have access to money and how this very seldom provides \"justice for any,\" never mind \"justice for all\" when the poverty-stricken plaintiff is so sorely tempted to settle the case for a large sum of money.  In \"Hav-a-Heart,\" you get a mystery-thriller that deals with the harsh, economic realities of today's changing work-place and how it affects people's personal lives. Some may view this story as an extreme example of today's headlines but I, as a Realtor and mortgage broker, see too many of these stories everyday to know that there is nothing extreme about \"Hav-a-Heart.\" It's a reality, lived out by thousands of the working class, in today's America.
