Herbal medicine\u003cbr\u003ewas also part of the syllabus. The Imperial Medical College which was actually started to conduct\u003cbr\u003eresearches and train doctors thus records the first mention of the practice of acupuncture.\u003cbr\u003eAcupuncture is also mentioned and discussed in one of the most ancient Chinese Medical Text called\u003cbr\u003ethe “Huang Di Nei Jing” which was in existence more than two thousand years ago.\u003cbr\u003eWith Asia becoming developed and a general improvement in transportation and communication,\u003cbr\u003eacupuncture as a part of Chinese Medicine spread in the 6th century to Japan.\u003cbr\u003eWith the advent of Buddhism, religious medicine became popular and acupuncture became a popular\u003cbr\u003ehealing method.\u003cbr\u003eThe insertion method which is used by acupuncture practitioners all over the world, especially in Japan\u003cbr\u003ewas first invented by Waichi Sugiyama in the 17th Century.
