We have heard the proverb that says “there are no\u003cbr\u003ewounds that time cannot heal.”\u003cbr\u003eHere of course we get the image of a wizened old woman who\u003cbr\u003ecomes hobbling up to us with a pitcher full of balm and gentle\u003cbr\u003efingers that soothe away all our pains and sorrows.\u003cbr\u003eBut that’s enough! This book was not written to eulogize\u003cbr\u003etime. There is no need of the romance of Cinderella or the soothing\u003cbr\u003efinger of an old lady when we are talking about time. And do you\u003cbr\u003eknow why? It’s because we do not have the time for it.\u003cbr\u003eWe are going to try and understand time in its many faces.\u003cbr\u003eNo, I was not referring to the faces of watches or clocks. I was\u003cbr\u003ereferring to the many meanings that time has. Oh yes it does! You\u003cbr\u003ethought that time meant the same to everyone. But we being the getting-to-see-it-all audience watch with\u003cbr\u003ebated breath as the tiny needle of the timer ticks towards the point\u003cbr\u003eat which the explosion is sure to occur.\u003cbr\u003eBut just before that, the hero hits the brakes screeches to a\u003cbr\u003ehalt to avoid hitting that old lady crossing the road. And when he\u003cbr\u003ejumps out to help her cross the road the needle reaches the point\u003cbr\u003eand the bomb is exploded. And our hero is safe. It’s funny how the\u003cbr\u003ehero always escapes without a scratch in these movies. But I expect\u003cbr\u003ethat’s why they call them heroes.\u003cbr\u003eNow we are really transgressing aren’t we? So back to our\u003cbr\u003esubject that is Time Management.\u003cbr\u003eDo you know what is interesting about the concept of\u003cbr\u003eTime? It is absolutely uncontrollable.\u003cbr\u003ePersonally I believe that there is something very humbling\u003cbr\u003eabout this concept.
