2940044795211
A World Outsourced

The wildly hilarious and endearing Harry is married to the lovely Preeti who is forever going off on dietary tangents. Harry owns a thriving alternative medicine business as well as a taxi business though he drives as if traffic signs were mere suggestions and pedestrians on the sidewalk were target practice.
Their neighbours, Chander and Sita, got married under the most inauspicious stars, but the couple and their beautiful daughter, Rosie, struggle hard to get ahead. They dream of progressing and immigrating to Canada, a land of opportunities where they can prosper. Sita has great ambitions for Rosie. She hires a matchmaker to find a tall, handsome doctor, either in Canada or in India, for Rosie. Anything less than that would be absolutely unthinkable for Sita.
Much to Sita’s chagrin, Harry and Preeti’s son, Maninder, who is not a doctor, falls head over heels in love with Rosie. His attempts to impress her and win her heart are fraught with comical mishaps at every twist and turn.
Meanwhile, Canadians grow tired of inept politicians who mismanage the country’s finances. The public votes to outsource the government. A reasonable monthly budget of tax payer dollars is to be allocated to an Indian outsource firm to run the country and if the selected business entity overruns the funds, the company will pay for it, not the country. If the selected business does not perform as per a predetermined contract, they will be replaced.
After hearing news chronicling the decision to outsource the Canadian government to an Indian company, Harry and Chander decide to open Outsource Inc. together and tender a competitive bid. Their bid is selected conditionally and they are given 15 days lead time to get their company going and prepare to carry out their contractual requirements. There are hilarious misadventures, one after another, as they gear up, open for business, hire the side-splitting Rajesh and try to impress a touring Canadian delegate that travels to India to give Outsource Inc. the mandate and brief them on the tasks at hand.
Despite Harry’s foibles, Outsource Inc. does a fabulous job at running Canada under budget. Maninder’s sharply strategizes, if one by one, all governments of all countries are outsourced to Outsource Inc., they would thus control all armies and armaments. They would decree all militias and armies in the World disarm and disband. There would be peace and harmony on Earth. All borders would be open to free trade and all people in all countries could unite. With one entity running all tasks in all countries, there would be economies of scale and taxes could be drastically reduced, with the surplus funds going to the poor. This would bring affluence to every household and poverty and hunger would be eradicated. There would be free education and free health care for all. Maninder makes a presentation at the UN promoting his ideas and his company’s services while Rajesh adds a very generous dose of humor. People in other countries hear of Outsource Inc’s resounding success and hold protests to terminate their governments, monarchs and rulers. In the end, there is entertainment for all as affairs of the heart and the world are sorted out.
