These technologies can be leveraged to support safety in other complex systems such as NASA long-duration missions in space science and exploration. \u003cbr\u003eThese advanced capabilities—in the form of innovative concepts, tools, technologies and knowledge—will enable revolutionary design solutions for the performance and environmental challenges of future flight vehicles. The Fixed Wing Project explores and develops technologies and concepts for improved energy efficiency and environmental compatibility of fixed wing, subsonic transports.\u003cbr\u003eThis book contains a look at the variety of future aircraft concepts being explored.
