Streamflow alteration resulting from anthropogenic changes in the landscape is one such surrogate. \u003cbr\u003eFor example, increases in impervious surface cover (ISC) commonly cause increases in surface runoff, which can result in “flashy” hydrology and other changes in the stream corridor \u003cbr\u003ethat are associated with streamflow alteration.
