He attends a Public School and goes to church.  He is an easy-going kid who is quite independent—on the downside, however, he can be a bit condescending from time to time, uncertain, and, very often, altogether too independent.  Yet, to his advantage, he is a very loyal, brave, resolute young man. \u003cbr\u003eBut all of this is tested when he is suddenly marked with a star on his left eye!  He is determined to get to the bottom of it, and fast!  But where should he start?  Riley wants to find out why he has this symbol and for what purpose.  Adding to this amazing . . . yet VERY strange occurrence, Riley, along with his friend, KELLY, are confronted by a ghost army in the woods with a leader named JOHN ALAN FILIPPE, who believes Riley is the one that‘DOROBONN has chosen for a very special reason unbeknownst to Riley.  Unfortunately, during the encounter, a wicked ghost by the name of REUBEN LAUHTERR rebels against what Filippe believes.  Thus, he takes matters into his own hands, and attempts to kill Riley.  Mysteriously, his plan is thwarted.  In frustration, he directs his anger towards Filippe and violently takes over Filippe’s army. \u003cbr\u003eJohn Alan Filippe becomes an ally to Riley and Kelly, however, the boys’ troubles are not nearly over.  He encounters several malevolent adversaries who are determined to ‘de- brainalize’ him no matter what it takes, but he is able to narrowly escape their attempts.  Not long after, Filippe leaves the two in order to reclaim his army.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAfter their ghost friend leaves, Riley and Kelly stumble upon a door in the forest and discover an amazing land called Zefa inside a fantastical world which is inhabited by very unusual beings.  They soon make friends with a timid, benevolent little run-away vampire named JOSEPH, who is, fortunately, not the bloodthirsty type, as well as a kind-hearted mizzer by the name of KELVIN.  Not long after, Riley is pursued by a malicious bloodpire by the name of GLAZHIER who is wholly determined to capture both Riley AND Joseph; after that frightful event, the group of friends unexpectedly come upon a beautiful castle.  To their surprise, they are welcomed by Princess LUNAIRA, ruler of Zefa, who invites them to stay as long as they like.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e But the pleasant respite ends all too soon . . . for Riley then has a terrifying encounter with an evil scientist who possesses dragon-like creatures, from which he barely escapes.  Next, there are yet two more terrors that Riley must face . . . alone.  The first is a monster of a man, who is called DYYORLL, the murderer who destroyed the ‘People of the Symbol’ long ago, and who has committed himself to Riley’s destruction,  no matter WHAT  the cost . . . \u003cbr\u003eThe second is a satanic villain with an utterly evil heart, known as the VILE ONE.  Yet, as Providence would have it, Riley, in the midst of this nightmare, meets the one who can help him on his journey; Dorobonn.  Dorobonn the magician, who takes Riley under his wing and becomes his mentor.  With his help, Riley will learn that, in times like these, there is one that he can turn to, only one that can and will prevail.
