2940149640966
Put away for safe keeping........
If a tree grows weak limbs unable to support the weight of a small bird, do we blame the limbs for being weak or the trees environment for producing weakness? Growing up poor with an alcoholic father and an undiagnosed mentally ill mother made for a very unstable environment to begin my life with. It presented many challenges and issues that I've been dealing with or disassociating from all my life. It felt as if with each breath I took there was wrong inside of me. Daily pieces of me just broke off and with each piece gone there was less of me remaining. As a result I didn't exist. Unfortunately the pain received in childhood didn't stay there. It was innate and has followed me through out my life. So whose fault is it I feel insane? Does blame even help? Depression, anxiety and daily instability left me constantly fearing the cheap scraps of linoleum underneath my feet were going to crack and give way any moment exposing the cold hard cement underneath.
My hope is that my journey to subtle acceptance of who I am and that I do exist all the while healing past pains will inspire and breakthrough the numbness so common after the life lived abuse. Most importantly I don't want anyone else to ever feel that they are alone in the kaos and insanity because you're not.
