If there are any faults or errors, charge them all to me.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eProbably the design of this “Sketch” is to scatter broadcast over the country information about “The Church of the Nazarene,” how and why it came into being, viz: that there might be a body of Christian churches whose avowed purpose was to teach to the Christian world the doctrine of sanctification and full salvation as a second work of grace.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIncidentally, in these days of barren ministries, it teaches how a young man, even though poorly educated, by the help of the Spirit, can achieve mighty things for God, and win a multitude of souls.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe Church of the Nazarene that Dr. Bresee founded is now about thirty-five years old. It already has seventeen hundred churches, almost three thousand preachers about eighty thousand members, six colleges, a noble Publishing House, a great missionary work, and one of the best Religious Weeklies in the world.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eBeautiful as it all is, it is but the purple morning of the blazing Gospel Day that is yet to be.
