2940154617731
How to Collect Disability for Panic Attacks

My first panic attack happened in 1985. I was driving a truck over the road at the time and was traveling down the interstate when suddenly I went into a full-blown panic. My heart felt like it would explode in my chest and I started to sweat like crazy. I got very hot and was having trouble breathing. I thought I was having a heart attack.
Anyone who has had a panic attack knows exactly what I'm talking about. I quickly pulled over on the shoulder of the road and felt like I had to get outside in the fresh air. I jumped out of the truck, walked around to the grass, and sat down. As quickly as it came on, it subsided. I sat there thinking about it and was completely freaked out because I had never experienced anything like it in my life and it scared the hell out of me.
I soon realized I wasn't having a heart attack and wondered what happened to me. I had heard of panic attacks in the past and it occurred to me that was what happened. I was unsure if it would happen again as I went around the truck to get back in. I was about eight hundred miles from home and felt like I was never going to make it back home.
I was a drinker during those years so I began to self medicate with alcohol. It's 2012 now and I have been sober since 1988 but the attacks didn't stop when I quit drinking so my doctor put me on meds. I have tried numerous meds over the years. Anti-depressants and anti-anxiety.
