He asked Dave in a shaky voice.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e'No there isn't the slightest chance that I'll be sent there, my contract with the Peace Corps is sound, and I must get a transfer that's all.' He said resolutely exhaling the caught in his lungs with impatience. And again a short spell of silence ensued.\u003cbr\u003eFrom the Author\u003cbr\u003eNo wonder she was tempted, father Desirade thought in sober astonishment. If he wouldn't have shaved his face two or three months, he would have looked like Jesus Christ in his full magnificence; like the Jesus depicted in the paintings of many masters of the renaissance era.
