A gold heart shaped locket on one side was a picture of dad from when they got married on one side the other was a picture of me and my sister when she first came home. The last thing in the box was a small crystal pentacle neckless. I picked it up examining it, it seemed to glow with its own internal light. I held it up examining it, as I held it there I wondered where mom picked it up. She wasn't into the occult or any of that metaphysical stuff. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eI don't know how long I held it, considering it trying to figure out where the glow was coming from. It was on a simple chain and I couldn't see any light or power source to make it glow. The only thing that pulled my attention away was Amy. She stopped in and called out my name. I slipped the neckless over my head and went downstairs. \"Hi Amy, sorry I didn't hear you knock I was up in mom's room.\"\u003cbr\u003e\"That's okay, I saw the door was open and figured it would be okay if I stepped in and called out.\"\u003cbr\u003e\"Of course, you are always welcome here. Would you mind helping me sort through all this stuff and figure out what to do with it all. Some of it I'm giving to charity but some of it may be worth something.\"\u003cbr\u003e\"Sure, no problem. Let me stop home and change and I'll be back in a bit. We went to lunch after the funeral. I held it off my chest looking at still wondering how it was glowing before. \"It's about time you put that on!\" I heard from behind me. Jumping up and spinning around I saw no one there. The stuffed cat was still on the bed where I had sat it but nothing and no one else. \"Who said that?\"\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\"I did.\" came a reply. It sounded like it was coming from the cat. I stuck my fingers in my ears twisting them a bit thinking I was hearing things. I looked back at the cat, \"Did you just talk?\" The cat stood up and shook, the black velvet covering turned into fur and the yellow glass eyes took on a more lifelike look. It moved to the edge of the bed sitting down it blinked its eyes and lifted a paw to clean it.
