It has all the usual parts of a romance novel, the guy, the girl, their challenges and then the HEA. There are several ways the story COULD go and you aren't really sure which path it will take. It's labeled a holiday story but it really doesn't center around the holidays all that much and for that, I am grateful. Most of those are way too predictable. In this book, you never know for sure just what is going to happen, only that you expect it to get resolved. A little mystery, a little love, a few fights, and lots of the good stuff!\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe story begins with a dead skunk dropped on her doorstep. Allison Holmes has been running from a stalker for years and really likes Heaven, Pennsylvania where she is currently working in a restaurant. It has not been violent situation but she's still scared to put down roots and then have her security torn away if her ex-boyfriend finds her.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIan Brown is the local chief of police who came to the little town after his partner was killed in an undercover operation. He's divorced and not looking for any long term thing with a woman. Yet he can't help but want to protect Ally from whoever is scaring her.
