A plain bagel?\" She is incredulous\u003cbr\u003eAnd complains to the nearest stranger,\u003cbr\u003e\"I thought he was unique, unconventional,\u003cbr\u003eAnd he orders a plain bagel. I may \u003cbr\u003eHave to rethink this relationship.\"\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\"That man is in deep trouble,\" I say to myself,\u003cbr\u003eAs I pay for my bagel order.\u003cbr\u003eWith an eye on my own relationships\u003cbr\u003eI take home sesame, sourdough, everything.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eBetty's poetry, articles, and stories have been published in magazines and journals. She received her B.A. in English and Elementary Education from Webster College in Webster Groves, Missouri, and her M.Ed. from Memphis State University in Tennessee.
