As a boy he played in  \u003cbr\u003ethe creeks and fi elds, climbed Kennesaw Mountain, and went horseback riding  \u003cbr\u003eand camping at Factory Shoals and the ruins of Manchester Mill. For four  \u003cbr\u003eyears he did re-enacting as a Confederate soldier during the American Civil  \u003cbr\u003eWar Centennial celebration, making all his own equipment and uniforms.  \u003cbr\u003eLater, as an adult, he attended and graduated from Emory University, where he  \u003cbr\u003edeveloped a close friendship to Professor Dr. Bell Irvin Wiley, noted historian  \u003cbr\u003eand author. After studying law for another year, the author entered the family  \u003cbr\u003ereal estate business. Within several years, he had earned his Broker's license  \u003cbr\u003eand soon took over the family business. Among other things, at the age of  \u003cbr\u003etwenty-fi ve, he was elected as President of the Douglas County Chamber of  \u003cbr\u003eCommerce and a few years later as the President of the West Georgia Board of  \u003cbr\u003eRealtors and serving as a State Director. Business, family, and history has kept  \u003cbr\u003ehim busy these many years as well as his avocation as an artist, also playing  \u003cbr\u003ethe guitar and sometimes performing at the local Cedar Grove Bluegrass get  \u003cbr\u003etogether on Tuesday evenings. Recently he took up learning the fi ddle. He  \u003cbr\u003eis also a licensed private pilot and currently owns a 1947 Piper PA-12 Super  \u003cbr\u003eCruiser Taildragger. This is his third novel and completes the trilogy of Fallow  \u003cbr\u003eAre the Fields and We Danced Until Dawn. He has three grown, married  \u003cbr\u003echildren and three grand-children.
