In this work, he has keenly captured the importance and the simplicity of day-to-day life. His poetry reflects on little things that we often fail to notice or simply overlook. \u003ci\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eDr. David Lowery\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/i\u003e holds a doctorate in English education from Mississippi State University. He is the author of articles that have appeared in  \u003ci\u003eThe Reading Professor, Journal of Case  Studies in Education, and Mississippi Professional Educators Journal\u003c\/i\u003e. He has been named STAR teacher twice. Dr. Lowery has also been named the \u003ci\u003eMississippi Humanities Council Teacher of the Year\u003c\/i\u003e at \u003ci\u003eJones County Junior College\u003c\/i\u003e, where he teaches English. Lowery has also taught adjunct education courses at Mississippi State University and William Carey University.
