They were scattered\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ehere, there, and everywhere, either in a computer file (under\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ewho knows what name) or on a scrap of paper thrown\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ein an old file folder.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eFor years my son, Mark, has encouraged me to\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eget all my “stuff” together and publish a book so that he or\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eother members of our family could read them. He persisted\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eand finally I acquiesced . So, if you happen to be reading\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ethis book, I hope you find something that pleases you,\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eor just makes you think, or makes you laugh. At least you\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ewill probably get an insight into how my mind works. If no\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eone ever reads it and it gathers dust on some obscure shelf\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003esomewhere, or in a box of “stuff you don’t know what to do\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ewith”, that’s okay. Maybe Mark will be pleased that I\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003efinally “got-er-done”.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eSometimes it is hard to express just how you feel\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eabout a circumstance or situation, but I found that if I\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003espend some quite time in meditation and let peace fill my\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003emind and heart, thoughts do come. Then, thoughts into\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ewords.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eMost of the things I have written are touched by my\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003efaith in and love for my Lord, Jesus Christ. I only regret\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ethat I am not articulate enough to express my sincere\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ethanks for His grace and mercy. But, how can anyone adequately\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003emagnify our God? He knows my deepest thoughts,\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eand, thereby, knows my love for Him, but it would be wonderful\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eto have the words to express it to another human being.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIf I could only touch a life and lead that life to Him,\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eI would feel I had been of some service.
