She won the Four Way Books Intro Prize in 1995 and \u003ci\u003eEye of the Blackbird\u003c\/i\u003e was published in 1997. Her poems have shown up in \u003ci\u003eGreen Mountains Review\u003c\/i\u003e , \u003ci\u003eBloom\u003c\/i\u003e , \u003ci\u003ePsychology Tomorrow\u003c\/i\u003e , the \u003ci\u003eMarlboro Review\u003c\/i\u003e , \u003ci\u003eSouthern Poetry Review\u003c\/i\u003e , the \u003ci\u003eAmerican Voice\u003c\/i\u003e , \u003ci\u003eMoving Out\u003c\/i\u003e , and elsewhere. McFadden taught at Brooklyn College, CUNY, and gave workshops at The New York City Libraries and at the Biblioteca in San Miguel. In 2010 she was awarded a MacDowell Fellowship.
