Visitors will experience the artwork by walking from Sulzano to Monte Isola and over to San Paolo. The \u003cb\u003emountains surrounding the lake will also offer a bird’s-eye view of the project\u003c\/b\u003e, revealing unnoticed angles and perspectives.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003e\u003cb\u003eThe Floating Piers\u003c\/b\u003e will be Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s first large scale project since they realized \u003cb\u003eThe Gates\u003c\/b\u003e in 2005\u003c\/b\u003e and will draw upon their established history of projects in Italy, including \u003cb\u003eWrapped Fountain\u003c\/b\u003e and \u003cb\u003eWrapped Medieval Tower\u003c\/b\u003e in Spoleto, 1968; \u003cb\u003eWrapped Monuments\u003c\/b\u003e in Milan, 1970; and \u003cb\u003eThe Wall–Wrapped Roman Wall\u003c\/b\u003e in Rome, 1973–74.
