As in the previous year, the agenda featured opening events followed by main sessions on the management of critical Internet resources; security, openness, and privacy; and diversity and access. New to the agenda was an experimental main session on Internet governance in the light of the WSIS principles that assessed the application of those principles within global Internet governance arrangements. Rounding out the agenda were an emerging issues session on the impact of social networks; a special stock taking consultation on the desirability of the continuation of the forum; and a special host country honorary session on preparing the young generations in the digital age, which featured a keynote address by H.E Ms. Suzanne Mubarak, First Lady of Egypt. In addition, the meeting included 103 workshops, open forums, best practice forums, and dynamic coalition meetings that were self-organized by the some of the more than 1,800 participants from around the world.

The objective of this volume is to present in an easily accessible format the richness of the dialogues at Sharm el Sheikh.
