"A bitter family rivalry leads two neighboring bloodlines careening toward destruction in this telenovela. Though on the surface the feud between the Valdes and Ramirez clans appears to be a result of the fact that a beautiful water bud known as ""El Manantial"" flourishes on the property of the Valdes family and not on the grounds of the wealthier Ramirez farm, the true reason for the hatred between the families actually runs much deeper upon closer inspection. It seems that Justo Ramirez has entered into a heated affair with Rigoberto Valdes' wife Francisco Rivero, and as the feelings between the pair grow ever more intense, so does the rising hatred between both families.
