The Harder They Come

In this film, Jimmy Cliff plays a young would-be reggae singer. When Cliff is exploited by a dishonest record-company executive, he becomes involved in the marijuana trade. When Cliff kills several cops in a bloody raid, the duplicitous exec releases Cliff's single, elevating the fugitive to the status of folk hero.
