"The one-season CBS drama Frontier Circus (1961-2) offered one of the more unusual premises in early 1960s television. Set in the late 19th century American Southwest, it followed the adventures of the ""T&T Circus,"" a Wild West tent show run by a man named Colonel Casey Thompson (Chill Wills). Over the course of the season, Thompson ventured from town to town with his troupe (courtesy of a wagon train), assisted by straw boss Ben Travis (John Derek) and advance man Tony Gentry (Richard Jaeckel. Individual episodes honed in on the relationships among the various circus members, and their interaction with various frontier people. This set contains all 26 Season One episodes as they originally aired, highlighted by guest stars including Jo Van Fleet, Aldo Ray, Sammy Davis, Jr. and Brian Keith.
