Black Mask [WS]

"Jet Li busts some heads in the action flick Black Mask. The film is presented in a very nice 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer. Artisan's work on this disc is excellent, save for a small amount of speckling in the image. Otherwise, this is a very solid-looking transfer that sports dark black levels and bright color patterns. The soundtrack is presented in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround and is very aggressive and bombastic. Directional effects are utilized often with the bass coming in low and loud. Those in possession of a home theater system won't be disappointed by this 5.1 mix of the film. All aspects of the audio track are free and clear of any hiss or distortion. No alternate soundtracks or subtitles are included on this disc. Black Mask is rather thin when it comes to supplements -- the only extra features included on this disc are some TV spots and theatrical trailers, the ability to jump to specific fight scenes, some info on the Wushu school of martial arts, some production notes, and some info on the cast and crew."
