"Someone at Artisan Home Entertainment signed on the wrong dotted line when they made a ""special edition"" DVD package part of this film's production contract. Actually, the comprehensive nature of the DVD is the only reason to look at the film in the first place. Which is saying something. The anamorphic widescreen transfer is not too bad, and the Dolby 5.1 digital soundtrack comes through nice and clear, although it's not that different from the standard 2.0 option that's also included. Two painfully generic music videos of self-consciously generic alternative bands are included, along with text bios of the filmmakers and actors, the theatrical trailer (ho-hum), a behind-the-scenes featurette (like, who cares?), and an outtakes reel (actually, raw footage) of scenes even the filmmakers didn't think were good enough. The commentary by director Michael Hamilton-Wright, producer Glen Tedham, and actor Philippe Bergeron (whose name is misspelled twice in the credits) reveals that the film was shot on the fly based on a script Hamilton-Wright knocked out in just eight days. That's nothing to brag about."
