Men With Brooms

"Paul Gross and Leslie Nielson star in the comedy Men With Brooms. The film is presented in its original 1.85:1 widescreen aspect ratio and enhanced for 16x9 TVs. Artisan has done a fine job at making sure this transfer is clear, concise and full of dark black levels and solid color patterns. Aside of a small amount of grain in the image, the transfer for Men With Brooms looks excellent. The soundtrack is presented in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround in English and French. While this may not be the most effects heavy feature film ever created, it does make good use of directional effects and surround sounds especially during the curling games. All aspects of the mix are free and clear of any excessive hiss or distortion. Also included on this disc is a Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo soundtrack in English, as well as English and French subtitles. Artisan has tacked on a few extra features to this disc, starting with a very fluffy featurette about the making of the film. This promotional piece includes some quick interviews with actors Paul Gross, Molly Parker and others. Also included on this DVD is a short interview with Gross discussing his past and his acting career, and a theatrical trailer for the film."
