In the year 210 BC, the caravan of the First Emperor of China, the most powerful man on earth, made an abrupt stop at a small village on the Yellow River. There, on his deathbed, the Emperor entrusted his royal Chancellor with two mysterious golden dragon stone medallions, along with the Emperor's last wishes for their use should he die.

The Chancellor could have not have imagined that thousands of years later the Emperor's last wishes would be in the hands of Anthony Santana, a Los Angeles teenager struggling to accept the death of his mother, Anthony's bookish stepbrother, Charlie Fields, and a determined young Chinese archeology student, a girl from Beijing named Sugar.

The teenagers, in turn, could have had no idea that less than two weeks after high school graduation they would be racing across China in a motorcycle/sidecar in a desperate attempt to find the Emperor's tomb, unlock the secret power of the medallions and use that power to face up to the evil presence that is hunting them.

The teenagers' fathers have disappeared and they are being sought by a special commando unit of the secret police and another unknown evil presences. The teenagers must fight to hold on to the power of the one thing that could give them a small glimmer of hope of survival -- the medallions.
