Nine Hundred Nights

"From director Michael Burlingame, Nine Hundred Nights is narrated by actor Rip Torn and compiles interviews and archival footage from the career of legendary '60s rock band Big Brother & the Holding Company. The music outfit that brought singer Janis Joplin into the spotlight is shown performing on-stage as well as in the recording studio. The film is presented on this DVD from Pioneer Entertainment in the full-screen format with the soundtrack mastered in DTS, Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround, and Dolby Digital Stereo. Spanish and French subtitles are also available. Along with the film itself, the disc presents uncut versions of four of the performances shown, a recording of ""Hall of the Mountain King,"" and several outtakes from interviews with bandmembers."
