Hurricane force winds whip the 30 tonne Audrey Eleanor hard sideways at her anchorage. An 85 pound Dansforth anchor is all that keeps her off the rocks and keeps her crew from dining with Davey Jones at the bottom of this black, black Sea.

The Audrey Eleanor is a 54', 1948 custom built wooden yacht. She explores the Coasts of Alaska and British Columbia with her inexperienced crew who originate from Whitehorse, Yukon. She carries her Captain and First Mate through rapids and turbulent waters, to lush green meadows on Islands dotted with tame deer.
Visuals from her bow showcase underwater fireworks and phosphorous covered sea life flashing and shimmering in a midnight undersea garden, amazing! Floating under touchable stars in a hot tub (yes, I said hot tub) is indescribable.

Tides and currents carry the Audrey Eleanor from Haines in Alaska to the magical and mystical Saltspring Island in the most southwestern corner of Canada. Whales slip by the stately ship, announced in passing by a blow of water as the giant tail slips back into still waters. Did you see that? A small current on the surface of the sea is all that remains to be seen of this beautiful mammoth water mammal. Dahl Porpoises ride the bow wake and turn to talk to whomever will listen.

From frozen majestic glaciers and bumps of icebergs against the hull, to waters warm enough in Desolation Sound to allow diving from the bow (without a dry suit) into the crystal sea below. The Venice of the North, Pender Harbour, spend a week exploring the many Islets and inlets, mounds of oyster shells lay stark against a dark shore. Seagulls scream threats at mighty eagles, Herons complain that the seagulls are too noisy . The Adventures carry on...

The Adventures of the Audrey Eleanor are True Sea Tales of two middle aged Yukoners who realize that time is no longer unlimited. Dreams should be fulfilled and you are the very best person to make sure that this happens. If you do nothing, nothing happens, you will have no stories.

In 2003 Captain Rick Cousins and First Mate Dawn Kostelnik purchase the then 'Senator 11' in Prince Rupert B.C. and motor the ship to Haines, Alaska.
The Senator 11 is re-christianed the Audrey Eleanor and her port of registry is Whitehorse, Yukon.

These Adventures take place between 2003 and 2013. Stories of these Adventures began publication in the Whitehorse Star newspaper. This over 100 year old newspaper covers news from Alaska and the Yukon Territory. From a one-time publication in 2008, the stories continued on, in bi-monthly full page columns until Dawn decided in 2010 to quit while she was ahead. She went on to pursue her next Adventure Series The White Girl, True North Stories also available in your favourite book store or on Amazon.com. Fans are still indignant and want 'just one more storey'. I think the rats did Dawn in...you have to read the book.

In the Captain's words, God Hates a Coward, any fool can travel the Famous Inside Passage in the Spring and Summer, it takes a serious fool to try this in the fall and winter, these Adventures sometimes resemble that remark.
