This original release by Anchor Bay is presented in 1.85:1 non-anamorphic and features solid colors and deep black levels. There is a minimum of dirt and grain in the image, and while a small amount of edge enhancement creeps up in the picture once in a while, it's never very intrusive to the viewing. The audio is presented in a new Dolby Digital 5.1 mix in English. The Surround effects on this soundtrack are used quite often, though not as expansively as one might hope. All aspects of the dialogue, effects, and music are free of any distortion or hiss. Also included on this disc is a Dolby 2.0 soundtrack in English. The only extra features available on this DVD include a theatrical trailer for Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers and a bonus trailer for director John Carpenter's original fright film Halloween."
