Johnny Suede

Tom DiCillo's quirky black comedy stars Brad Pitt as Johnny, a young rockabilly singer seeking career inspiration. After rescuing a woman from muggers, he receives manna from heaven in the form of a pair of blue suede shoes, prompting him to adopt the nom-de-rock "Johnny Suede." Complete with a newly confident outlook, Johnny meets the bohemian Darlette (Alison Moir) and falls in love with her; however, they break up, and despite finding romance with the mature Yvonne (Catherine Keener), Johnny still pines for Darlette.
