An African-American actress, out of luck and needing cash, takes a job as a phone sex operator in this explicit, colorful comedy-drama from Spike Lee. Renamed Girl 6 by the company, the actress becomes increasingly involved with her work on a personal level, soon reaching the point of unhealthy obsession.
