"Two vintage sexploitation titles from director Joe Sarno get the ""double feature"" treatment on this typically well-crafted DVD release from Something Weird Video. Both Sin in the Suburbs and The Swap (and How They Make It) have been transferred to disc in their original full-frame aspect ratio of 1.33:1, while the audio has been mastered in Dolby Digital Mono. The source materials for Sin in the Suburbs are more than a bit splicey, but it doesn't interfere too badly with the movie, while The Swap has been transferred from an exceptionally clean print, given the film's vintage. The dialogue for both movies is in English, with no multiple language options included. The highlight of Something Weird's bonus materials is a commentary track for Sin in the Suburbs featuring director Sarno, his wife, Peggy Sarno (aka actress Cleo Nova), and exploitation titan David F. Friedman, and if the track isn't as revelatory as one might hope, it's certainly entertaining enough. Also on deck are trailers for both films, as well as a handful of other sexploitation previews; an ""informative"" short subject on strip poker, also directed by Joe Sarno; and a gallery of advertising artwork for 1960s grindhouse titles. Short of finding a better print of Sin in the Suburbs (and Something Weird prexy Mike Vraney claims on the commentary that the copy used here is the only one he's been able to find), this is as good a presentation of this material as any sleaze enthusiast could ask for."
