This release features a new musical score, which has been mastered in Dolby Digital Stereo. The film's title cards are in Russian, with English translation. As a bonus, this release includes an optional commentary track from Soviet film historian Julian Graffy, as well as an additional short subject, Chess Fever, directed by Vsevolod Pudovkin and Nikolai Shpikovsky."
