Repulsion

"Roman Polanski's taut, moody psychological thriller gets a simple presentation in this DVD release. Repulsion has been given a full-screen transfer to disc in the 1.33:1 aspect ratio, and the audio has been mastered in Dolby Digital Stereo. The image is a bit on the contrasty side, and there are some minor visual anomalies that suggest this was mastered from a video source, but for the most part the picture is clear and the sound quality is acceptable. The dialogue is in English with no subtitles or closed captions, and there are no bonus materials; this is a film that certainly deserves a more elaborate DVD release, but this will fill the void well enough until a ""special edition"" disc comes along."
