THE ERUPTION OF MOUNT ST. HELENS is a document chronicling the destruction which ensued from the explosion of the St. Helens volcano, one of the most famous disasters in US history. Shot in the IMAX format, the film includes the original helicopter footage taken while searching for survivors amongst the mud and dust, juxtaposed against recent footage showing how nature has healed the land.
