Encounters in the Third Dimension has been transferred to disc in the full-frame aspect ratio of 1.33:1. Viewers can choose between English-language soundtracks in Dolby Digital 5.1 or DTS 5.1; no multiple language functions have been included. Bonus materials include both 2-D and 3-D versions of the film (special equipment is needed to view the video in 3-D), a commentary track from director Ben Stassen, a short documentary on the production of the film, and the original theatrical trailer."
