"This documentary, originally shot in the high-definition IMAX film format, gets a quality presentation in its DVD release. The Greatest Places has been transferred to disc in its original full-frame aspect ratio of 1.33:1, and the audio has been mastered in Dolby Digital 5.1. Along with the original English-language soundtrack, an optional French language track is available, as well as additional tracks featuring descriptions of the events for the visually impaired and an ""ambience"" track featuring music and sound effects without narration. The disc is also closed captioned in English."
