Edward Scissorhands [P&S Special Edition]

"Tim Burton's stylish fable Edward Scissorhands comes to DVD with a standard full-frame transfer that fails to preserve the original theatrical aspect ratio. A closed-captioned English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital 4.0, while French and Spanish soundtracks have been recorded in Dolby Digital Surround. English and Spanish subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include a commentary track recorded by Burton and his composer Danny Elfman, the original theatrical trailer, television commercials, a making-of featurette, and 3D menus. This would be a great disc, except the full-frame transfer makes it near impossible to recommend, particularly when one is made aware of a different release that has the same bonus features and a widescreen transfer as well."
