When the Legends Die

After the death of his parents, a young Ute Indian, Tom Black Bull (Frederic Forrest), meets up and befriends drunken lowlife Red Dillon (Richard Widmark). When Red discovers Tom's natural gift of handling horses, he convinces him to join the rodeo, where Red proceeds to make a great deal of money by betting on Tom's success. When Tom and Red part ways, they are later drawn back together by their unlikely friendship.
