Dr. Dolittle 2 [P&S]

"Steve Carr directs Eddie Murphy in Dr. Dolittle 2, which comes to DVD with a standard full-frame transfer that fails to preserve the original theatrical aspect ratio. A closed-captioned English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1, while Spanish and French soundtracks have been recorded in Dolby Digital Surround. English and Spanish subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include a commentary track recorded by the director, a pair of pedestrian making-of featurettes, extended scenes, storyboard to film comparisons, a theatrical trailer, and a music video. This is a decent disc for what it is, but considering a different release contains the same features and a widescreen transfer it is unnecessary. The widescreen disc is preferable."
