The Innocents

Miss Giddens (Deborah Kerr) is a young governess who takes a position in a country mansion. A young brother and sister she oversees seems to be acting strange. The house had been the scene of a love affair between her employer's valet and the former governess. Though the torrid affair ended with death, Miss Giddens is convinced the evil souls of the late lovers now inhabit the bodies of the innocent children. Dark forces grip the house and drive Miss Giddens to near insanity as she battles to save the children's souls.
