A "Marlowesque" British detective hits the streets of 1947 to search for a rich man's long-lost adopted daughter so he can share with her his enormous wealth in this detective-movie spoof. His investigation leads him to a strange household. There he finds two young women, either one of whom could be the tycoon's estranged offspring. The film is also known as Fat Chance.
